Bruschetta at Carluccio’s Bloomsbury; not too shabby for a chain, but the bread was a little soggy and the tomatoes lacking sweetness. If we’re being anal y’know but… All in all, tasty.
This was so simple but so so sexy. Spaghetti (simples), then plated with vegan pesto stirred through and topped with spinach and asparagus sauted in garlic paste and olive oil. Seasoned with sea salt and black pepper. Beautiful, I’ll be visiting this lovely little number soon!
Garlic and caramelised onion mash. Served with new season asparagus and slightly burnt (whoops) linda mccartney pie. I love mash.
I went to Dotty’s AGAIN and had this killer breakfast sarnie; vegacon, sausages, hashbrown, mushrooms and tomatoes with loads of ketchup. Fit.
Tonight was left-over thai green mushroom mung bean curry, butternut squash and shitake jungle curry annd udon noodles. I didn’t get a pic (whoops!) But here instead is a summer berry cheese cake - made with tofu AND cream sheese if you’re curious…
I can’t sleep, and I have a odd craving for butternut squash. These little bad boys weren’t perfect but with a bit of tweaking..
Squash peeled and cubed then boiled til tender. Drain and coat in marinade of seasame oil, soy sauce and agave or golden syrup. They should be sweet n sticky! Roll in seeds and oven roast til slightly crispy. These would be adorable on sticks.
But we didn’t have sticks. Ah well..
Ah to counter-act all the sweet, sweet sugar of the previous few says; mixed salad at Dotty’s Cafe (Nottingham). Really good but they had run out of the BEST sun-dried tomato pasta… I’ll be back!
I had massive cravings for sugar, but alas little compulsion to cook..hm swedish glace to the rescue! Add fresh raspberries and grated orange and chilli chocolate…
Annd.. A continuation from the previous post. Coffee and walnut cake loving and decadently topped with chocolate and ice cream. If it weren’t for my determination to avoid the caffeine monster today, I would have gone crazy with a soy latte and been in foodie heaven!
